A smart and controlled refurbishment is required for a well-run 350-room hotel in a popular metropolis, which is long overdue for a general overhaul. A complete renovation is applied to the standard-sized rooms to create a welcoming and serene interior. The bathrooms were dramatically redesigned so as to maximise the limited space available by repositioning the facilities and allowing light and views to enter from the bedroom beyond. The main furniture was conceived to be as compact and streamlined as possible. Indirect lighting and restful materials are punctuated with accents of vibrant colour to create a harmonious but dynamic balance.
